In accordance with the provisions of the Serbian Planning and Construction Law, the Government of the Republic of Serbia passed a new Decree on Location Conditions, which entered into force on 12 September 2020.
Location conditions contain all urban, technical and other conditions and data necessary for the development of the conceptual design, design for the construction permit and construction design, in accordance with the Law.
In early September 2020, the Commission for Protection of Competition initiated an ex officio investigation proceedings of potential competition infringement and conducted a dawn-raid of Roaming Electronics, Tehnomania and Comtrade Distribution, in order to determine the existence of a restrictive agreement under Article 10 of the Law on the protection of competition, which restrict competition on the markets of retail and wholesale consumer electronics in the Republic of Serbia.
Starting from 11 October 2020, the Serbian Business Registers Agency will be running the Register of Health Institutions (“Register”) as well as unified records of health care entities. Under the rules of the Serbian Law on Health Care (Official Gazette of the RS, No. 25/2019), the Serbian Business Registers Agency will be taking over from commercial courts relevant archive materials of health care institutions, as the competent commercial courts previously ran the registers and registration procedures.
On September 1, 2020, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia issued a public call for distribution of subsidies to support the operations of the hotel industry in Serbia affected by business difficulties caused by the epidemic of COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The public call will be in place until September 15, 2020, and the funds for the distribution of subsidies in the maximum amount of 1,460,000,000 dinars are allocated by the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2020.
